We are honoured to announce Obi Griffith, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Assistant Director at the McDonnell Genome Institute in the Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis, USA) as our closing keynote speaker.
At the forefront of personalized medicine in cancer, Obi is co-leading the Griffith Lab, renowned for its contributions to applied bioinformatics for improving cancer care. The lab specifically uses computational methods for the analysis of large datasets at the molecular level (DNA, RNA and protein) to identify markers for diagnosis, prognosis and drug response prediction in cancer.Among his numerous contributions to the field, Obi Griffith is also a principal investigator of the Database of Curated Mutations and the CIViC resource for Clinical Interpretation of Variants in Cancer, as well as the former president of the Cancer Genomics Consortium.
