Career horizons: navigating diverse paths

This special session is tailored specifically for our SIB PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.  

It aims at showcasing diverse career paths in bioinformatics, featuring insights directly from SIB alumni and keynote speakers who have carved out successful careers in various sectors.

During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to hear about different professional journeys, challenges overcome, and advice on navigating the transition from academia to industry or other research fields. Each career path presentation will be approximately 15 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A, providing an opportunity for participants to engage directly with speakers, ask questions, and seek guidance on their potential career moves.

This session is an ideal chance to gain inspiration, knowledge, and networking contacts.
