Please note: the SIB days are the internal scientific conference and community event of the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. Participation is limited to SIB Members and invited guests.

Registration process

Please sign in to the SIB days platform and complete your profile information to access the registration form (more information at the end of the section). If you already signed in to submit an abstract, please use the same login as before. After choosing your conference options, you will be asked to pay online via credit card. An invoice confirming your registration will be sent to your email address after successful payment.

¹ The registration to tutorials and workshops is mandatory (number of participants is limited) and handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

¹⁾ University hospitals and non-profit organisations are counted as academic institutions.

This price represents a reduced price compared to the total cost, as the SIB subsidises 50% of the total price and prices are negotiated on the basis of a high number of participants. It is not possible to pay only a part of this price by reducing any particular item of the total amount.

Cancellation policy

Please note that SIB is charged for last-minute cancellations. To help us avoid unnecessary costs, please make sure to announce any change related to your participation as soon as possible, but no later than 22 May 2022 at sibdays@sib.swiss.

SIB Members who are not SIB Employees

In case of non-attendance without a valid reason (medical certificate from first day of absence), there will be no refunds for cancellations received after 22 May 2022. The total committed costs will thus be charged to the Group Leader.

Note that the registration fee is a participation and does not represent the total cost per attendee.

SIB Employees and Group Leaders funded by SIB for an SIB Core Resource

For SIB Employees and Group Leaders whose attendance is mandatory, the costs are waived in full. In case of non-attendance without a valid reason (medical certificate from first day of absence) or cancellation received after 22 May 2022, the committed costs will be charged to the Group Leader.
