Bioinformatics to help eliminate hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition: SIB and FAO collaboration

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) supports countries in their efforts to detect and monitor animal diseases, such as influenza or foot and mouth disease. The FAO has appointed SIB as FAO Reference Centre for bioinformatics. Input from SIB groups with expertise relevant to the field is sought in order to contribute to the design of analysis tools for the FAO.
